Why not any of the other Matrix clients? I’ve got some friends on Element with some bridges and it’s pretty much perfect.

That’s a really clever, interesting solution. DeepSeek seems to be leaning hard into optimization and efficiency where other AI companies are just throwing more money at more hardware.

2·7 days agoYou spent 18 years learning to navigate a gated world. You will do just as much learning in the next 18 navigating a newly ungated one.
Think about the sort of kindness you would want to treat a younger version of yourself as he fumbled through that learning. Practice treating your new “young” self with that kindness today. It will pay dividends.
You will be surprised at how much you can do with very little and very old hardware.
