I’m basically repeating what you said but the thing about Lemmy is that there aren’t as many people as there are in Reddit, and most Reddit users are lurkers who don’t have the awareness that Lemmy exists as a viable alternative. So it’s natural that Lemmy users will refer to Reddit content, and content from large social medias for that matter, when talking about the topics relevant in their communities.
