I used to visit the incremental games subreddit to find new, good ones.
After all, why download a game when others are willing to play test it for you?
I stopped preordering unless it’s a project that I 100% believe in.
Usually it’s titles from studios that never miss like Supergiant Games or small dev team projects with a solid demo.
This was really helpful. I was wondering why I wasn’t able to log in. Thanks, op!

It’s strange that they would try to bury this information.
The number 1 tool against future hacks like this is education.
I’ve been using GIMP for almost 15 years at this point.
I have Photoshop, but I prefer GIMP as it is open source and has a bunch of community plug ins that are really easy to find and use.
You gotta keep your belt clean.
You never know when it’s going to be used for a naughty time
I deleted RiF and removed all shorcuts and icons that lead to reddit
I’m going with a mixture of cold turkey and “out of sight, out of mind”
Thankfully lemmy helps.
RiF being killed was the last straw for me and Reddit.
They just don’t care so long as they are making money. I was doxxed twice last year thanks to two different user on a fandom I moderated. They didn’t care that I was openly DOXed, pretty much them saying that it wasn’t their problem.
They just don’t care about people, just how much trouble they will get in and how much money is to be made.
So this whole “only money matters” ideal is a symptom of a larger issue that is going to get worse.
There’s no reason for a community driven site like Reddit to do things that hurt the community. It’s like they are trying to kill themselves the same way Musk is trying to kill Twitter.
It’s better to get away from those properties now before something worse happens.
Just remember what the Magic 8-ball says when you drink the water inside it… “Outlook is not good!”
Really, though, I know the ‘me’ of about 20 years ago would be shocked to hear this, but the whole Microsoft suite with Outlook is pretty comfortable to run and use. I use it when hosting websites for my business, and it’s always worked how I needed it.
Beyond that, I used Thunderbird for years and that’s my go-to client when I want to go free. It’s easy to set up and people usually love using a Mozilla product.
Vampire Survivors just keeps drawing me back
That and Hades with a side of Nuclear Throne

Reddit has already gone full Twitter.
I fully converted yesterday because I was holding out hope that reddit would do the right thing.
We vote with our dollars and our actions. Consider this a vote for freedom.
They’re just doing their part for decentralized social media.
If their fans love them enough, they’ll make an account.
