It kind of is, though. The cost of the system on its own is not the cost of the platform. Buyung the same games on a switch+paying for online mp is substantially more expensive than having a steam deck and using steam.

It also has fewer (and more expensive) games and is quite a bit more restrictive.

There are tons and tons of websites where you can create an account with just your email. I wouldn’t expect a third party account to be mandatory. Specially from a product like this one.

Not even close. Sometimes you can have a large text file where you need to do a find replace with a pattern. For example, in the translation world this can be a common occurrence for translation files (.xliff) or translation memories (.tmx).

Hard disagree. The function regex serves in programs like Notepad++ can’t be easily replaced by “writing it out in code”. With a very small number of characters you can get complex search patterns and capturing groups. It’s hard to read but incredibly useful.

Yes and no? Being a niche product, I feel like there should be a diy option where you get all of the parts as a kit for a reduced price. Maybe 30-35USD would make more sense. At 70 I would not even consider this product tbh.

$70 for a macropad? You can buy an entire kb for that price.
