The most effective way to dismantle criminal organizations of any nature is not by guns and bullets but by eliminating their markets.
People resort to drugs out of despair and disinformation. They either want an escape of reality or they want to “have fun” and they disregard or ignore the trap drugs represent.
Give to people security and a good life, inform and educate them, create safety nets for them to crash when things go wrong and 90% of drug trafficking and related crime just disappears. The other 10% you keep at bay by having good, humane, well trained police, on which the population can trust and rely.
Going for an all out war on cartels is a nighmare waiting to happen, at your door.

I have a motherboard that reaches a version that requires OS loading. It has an .exe file. No files directly loadable at BIOS level but I always assumed it an oddity.
Currently, I’m running a Gigabyte AB350M-DASH and I was able to load several BIOS updates directly by USB. However, from a version onwards it requires loading from the OS.
I thought it was just an isolated case but it seem to be a more common situation.

I agree. It’s a relic of another time, when having servants was common fare or it was obligatory having one person always at home, usually the wife.
I remember my grandma using these anti static wood cleaning spray for it and it worked. Or just plain cedar oil.

I very much like the old style furniture but one thing quick to realize is that most of it doesn’t really have much organizing space.
It’s a show of craftsmanship, it is something to look at but that is it.
I’m planning to build a lot of furniture for myself and the top requirement is internal space, followed by ease of assembly and modularity.
Visual impact can be achieve by different varnishes or finishes or, what I’m considering lately, pyro engraving or ink line work, underneath the varnish.
Off the top of my head I can name one banking institution that solely exists through a mobile application and more and more banks are moving in the same direction, making their conventional websites less functional.
