Minecraft really is a must-play for everyone, but only if you get the java edition. the bedrock edition is inferior and doesn’t have mods. get it on PC if you can
I’ve tried minecraft new 3ds edition, and it’s only playable if you turn up the emulated cpu clock speed on citra, the actual console isn’t powerful enough to run it playably.
Mario Kart DS and Mario Kart Wii both have random matchmaking, but for Mario Kart DS the only reliable way to find a lobby is to ping the Mario Kart DS discord server, although at peak hours there may be between 3 and 7 people playing Mario Kart DS even without pinging the chat. I actually played a match yesterday like that.
yep, and it only takes about 15 minutes to mod one. all you do is follow a quick tutorial on the 3ds.hacks.guide site
the games will still run at 1080p, or 720p but be upscaled to 4k using dlss, xess, or fsr
Stalker Anomaly is available to download for free on moddb.com, and its actually a modded version of the original games. but GSC has allowed them to redistribute the game for free.
I am pretty sensitive to stutter and 1% lows, so maybe I’m just being nit picky. what fixed it for me was downloading a complete shader cache for the games I had stutter problems with.
The steam deck just barely emulates the switch, so I think switch 2 emulation is out of the question unless there is serious performance hacks. Ryujinx likely would have been able to emulate the switch 2 one or two years after launch just like what happened with dolphin and the Wii. but Nintendo illegally got them shut down
Honestly I don’t see myself getting a switch 2 until its able to be emulated. and I’m buying it and all the games used so I don’t have to support Nintendo financially
I used to play Roblox a lot, and there definitely is some fun to be had on that platform but its not really a proper game developing software. your “game” is completely reliant on roblox’s servers and site, and they have control over anything you do on roblox. Roblox is a lot simpler than developing a “real” game, so I think it’s closer to garry’s mod than unity or Godot.
As far as hardware gimmicks go, I agree that the WiiU’s gamepad could’ve done so much more, I can think of so many different unique ways a game could’ve made use of it, like having two different perspectives or mini games like in GTA Chinatown wars.
