I have a proxbox with a R5 4600G even under extreme loads the stock cooler is fine. Honestly once prox is setup you don’t need a GPU. The video output of proxmox is just a terminal (Debian) so as long as things are running normally you can do everything through the web interface even without the gpu. I do highly recommend a second GPU (either a G series CPU or a cheap GPU) if you want to try proxmox GPU passthrough. I’ve done it and can say it is extremely difficult to get working reliably with just a single GPU.
I’ll freely admit to skimming a bit but yes proxmox can run trunas inside of it. Proxmox is powerful but might be a little frustrating to learn at first. For example by default proxmox expects to use the boot drive for itself and it’s not immediately clear how to change that to use that disk for other things.
The noctua dh-15 is overkill for that cpu btw unless you’re doing an overclock which I wouldn’t recommend for server use. What’s your plans for the 1060? If using proxmox you’ll want to get one of the “G” series AMD CPUs do that proxmox binds to the apu and then you should be able to do gpu passthrough on the 1060.
I found this site from a blog recommending a few brands. They didn’t have what I wanted but the fact I was greeted by this was good enough to screenshot.
M1 does not but the m1 pro does and looks fairly similar if you get the smallest size.
Texas officially made it illegal in 2023, was previously just a gray area.
It was probably done to accommodate both mouse and keyboard users and touchscreen users.
Never had an issue with it though.
Also use EAC on Linux with wine.
Why on earth would you want the un-rootable variant we get stuck with in the states? Own your hardware damnit.
Can’t wait for copilot for Linux!
P.s I definitely can wait.
There’s a channel “learnlinuxtv” on YouTube that is pretty good. I haven’t looked in a while but I watched their entire course on proxmox. They also create books.
Oh come on these days it’s the bare minimum grocery getter.
I assume you mean a BMW not the Ford f650 lol.
Yeah my core doesn’t generally get cold but definitely the extremities.
Yeah I gave it an inspection last night and was kinda surprised how little bike there actually is to these. Even compared to other dual sport machines I’ve worked on these things are very simple.
The parts availability is why we got this bike. We originally went to look at a much more rare Honda NX250 but I figured she’d crash enough that we’d struggle to find parts.
Technically her third but really her second…and first.
Her first bike was a '86 Honda elite which she didn’t have for very long before getting the Yamaha Xmax. She’s had the Xmax for 3? Years but it’s starting to hold her skill back especially on dirt soooooooo we got her a dirt friendly bike to learn more skills.
She’s a bit intimidated about relearning a clutch (hasn’t ridden a manual bike since 2020) but is excited overall. I’m hoping to have the bike in a ridable state by this weekend if all goes well.
Hahaaa…no I used to have some awesome gloves but those seemed to grow legs years ago. I’ve been considering heated gear but I don’t have a lot of excess power on the klr to run it and I’m also not entirely sure how much power the scooter has as I could never find a rating for the stator.
I have seen some cool new gear that can run on either battery or your 12v and maybe when I have some free budget I’ll get some of that.
If I could take a 50% paycut and afford to live that would be a 100% gain.
Looks beautiful nonetheless.
My issue is not that I do/don’t mind paying someone it’s that shops keep closing and prices keep going up. I think last time I asked around I got a reply for $75 to mount a single tire.
