Why not completely divorce your phone from your portable computing device?
Before smartphones, they were getting pretty small. You could probably make a phone that was just a voice activated earbud now. Then have a device that was everything but the “phone” bits. You wouldn’t have to accept the locked down aspects that the cell providers demand, you could have all the variety and functionality of your home computer or laptop.
Yeah, this seems crazy to me. This is a big differentiator. I still hate apple’s ui and several other things but now I can see myself being convinced to get an iPhone. There was zero chance before this decision. If apple ever allows real third party launchers and browsers that aren’t just safari skins (or if android ever disallows launchers and makes all browsers chrome skins), I’d be pretty close to 50-50.

The Wikipedia article starts with two paragraphs accurately defining the term, then in the third paragraph above the drop-downs mentions the criticisms. Then two drop-down sections, Solutions and Criticisms, are almost entirely given over to all the ways various people have refuted this.
What do you want, a big flashing red banner at the top that says “This Concept is Bullshit”? I don’t think you understand how Wikipedia works.
It’s almost two entire sections, with just a little of North America, Asia, and Antarctica. And then some on four others. It’s obvious from a glance, no other body of water or land mass comes anywhere near that.
And if you still don’t think that’s vast enough, maybe a lifetime of bad projections have given you a distorted view of the Pacific’s size. Mercator and Mercator like projections definitely make the Pacific look much too large near the poles.

If you can’t do that, that’s a manufacturer restriction. I’ve never had a phone that couldn’t do that and my current one is only last year’s model. I plug it in, it gives me a few options: charge, usb storage, i think something else also, and it works like it always has. I assume the OS files and some app files are protected but everything else is drag and drop as if it was any other storage device like it has been since my first Android in 2010.
It’s also possible that the one that did it said “why did you do that” to try and shift blame for reason(s) of insurance payout, shame, or something else and the one that said “I didn’t” is telling the truth.
Whichever one did it, that video from Captain Steeeve makes a pretty good case that one of them did.
If one pilot tries to ram it into the ground, or just throttles back, the other pilot can fight them for the controls and possibly prevent a crash. When those switches are flipped the engines almost immediately flame out. Even if the other pilot quickly flips them back and prevents the first pilot from doing anything else, it takes time for the engines to automatically relight and spool back up. Done right around liftoff, which seems to be the case from the RAT deployment, there might not be anything the other pilot can do no matter how fast they act.
Edit: According to the flight data recorder, the cutoff switches were flipped 3 seconds after takeoff, one was flipped back on 10 seconds later, the other flipped back 4 seconds after that, and the recording ended 15 seconds later.
Because an entertainer/athlete gets a paycheck for doing a job. They’re not getting rich underpaying employees.
The debatable part comes in when you get more nuanced than that: The richest of them probably derive most of their wealth from investments once they’ve accumulated enough capital. Their industry requires the efforts of many underpaid people (even if they don’t directly get a say in that). Anyone that keeps (not just earns) a billion wakes up every morning and decides not to solve homelessness in their city. Etc.
But a 20mm paycheck to put asses in seats is a paycheck, not exploitation.
While I am a bit of a misanthrope, I do stop short of referring to people as cargo.
It’s always hard to judge AoA unless you’re looking side-on with a horizon for reference, but excessive nose-up attitude caused by cargo incorrectly loaded or not secured properly so it shifted aft during rotation could have caused an aerodynamic stall.
My wife loved it too even though she didn’t play MMOs, but she had a basic understanding from hearing me talk about them.
