The more you research a specific topic the worse Wikipedia seems as a source. For a general overview before writing a paper and starting real research? It’s great.

For actually researching and compuiling that paper? Terrible. The Wikipedia editors are people too and they cant know everything.

I love Wikipedia and have donated and will donate again but looking back on it there’s a reason that most schools don’t let you source it as Wikipedia and make you look at the actual sources that Wikipedia uses.

How many YouTube competitors have risen up and died since it first started? PeerTube is fine but there’s no AdSense so the really big an medium sized ones won’t move over. There aren’t enough viewers for sponsorships to be worth while so it’s purely passion that will drive people to upload onto it, which is great but it basically limits the uploads to people who are techy enough or care enough about decentralization to go out of their way to not get payed.

I wouldn’t boil down TST or COS to edgy atheists. I think a lot of people were deeply hurt by religion and the TST spends a of time trying make sure that local governments follow the first amendment. The COS isn’t really theistic but they are absolutely a religion that does more than just be edgy.

I’m still shocked that Bixby is so terrible. I only use it to set timers when I’m baking and it can’t even do that 50% of the time.

If I had known then what I know now I would not have gotten a Samsung phone. It’s what I’m stuck with though because it works fine and I don’t see the point in buying a new phone until this one dies.

I agree. Try arguing that to a conservative judge in the south and you will simply be sent home with your abusive parent, who is likely enraged about having to defend themselves from the “law”.

I think you underestimate the sheer number of homophobic parents that aren’t necessarily abusive but would be if their kid ever came out. There are a lot of people I’ve talked to that their online escape was the one thing that kept from killing themselves.

I’m not saying that it’s healthy but there are a lot of kids in a situation that they can not escape from because of the way that society treats children. Children are treated as something that is closer to property than an individual when it comes to things like law enforcement and emotional abuse.

There are people at my work place that I thought that I got along with and then all of a sudden they come out with the most bigoted things that I have ever heard. I straight up do not trust any man my age at this point there are just too many of them that are “hiding their powerlevel”

The sheer amount of stress that existing in the modern day causes for most people is significantly more medically significant to caffeine addiction, and a lot of it is people finding an escape from their work by getting a coffee.

I wish. I think it’s the beginning of the end to anonymous online presenses. It’s becoming more and more common for things like this to be required by corporate social media.

This is something that I feel like should be at the top of every single tech related community. Not everyone is a techie and they shouldn’t have to be to exiat in the modern world.

I’m hopeful but apprehensive for KSA.

Am I missing something? What do the numbers mean in relation to the type? Sub types?
