The Weight is such a good song, and probably their most well known. I’m gonna check out Van Morrison’s Moondance album, I’m getting older and just now really getting into classic rock. I love the video for Sympathy for the Devil as well I’ve been watching that a bunch lately. Also the Eagles. Whoa.
Just wanted to say its not often a person plays drums and does lead vocals. I’m not a musician but im sure anyone can see that this is a very impressive live performance. I know that its from a movie but I’ve never seen the movie. I’ve been watching this video on youtube for years now and I have a young son and he’s just learning to talk and he likes to sing this song with me. I saw in another comment on youtube I think that although is song is written from the perspective of the south, its really about just being a normal guy living in a small town and all of a sudden you’re being sent to war, regardless of which side you happen to be on. The lyrics are great. I hope someone enjoys it.

dude same. 13 years. Reddit has been a huge part of my life for a long time. I even lurked for a year or so before making an account. It feels like a break up in a weird way, but lets remember we’re breaking up because they’ve become a controlling abusive spouse and we deserve better :)

Idk I think more people will stick around then won’t. But I don’t think it will be immediate. It will be a slower migration as Lemmy gets better and better and easier to use and there is less and less of a reason to go back to reddit for anything. I’ll only ever go there if I have to for some reason but over time those reasons will become less and less as the communities here grow.
I want to leave Reddit completely so bad. They’re ruining such a good thing, I was a member for 13 years. I hope Lemmy kinda just naturally replaces it for me but I’m sure there’s some stuff that’s just the best to go to Reddit for, I hope that changes slowly and people start using Lemmy or something else. But hey im here and it feels pretty good. Feels kinda like when I found Reddit for the first time all those years ago. Hello everyone :)
