I am tempted to compare the market of handheld PC to this of Single Board Computers.

You have on one hand the Raspberry Pi and steamdeck: first successful on a niche market, develop the hardware and the software to deliver a complete experience, open and hackable.

On the other hand, you have all the followers, throwing out some random imitations, with better spec. sheets, but no Software support, or just the bare minimum and ultimately the experience offered isn’t a match.

How are they hoping to compete with the steamdeck if none of them put in the effort to develop a complete and functional user experience? Acer and Asus with collect the scraps and nothing more.

Any climate activist will tell you it’s already too late to preserve or revert to the climate before the industrial revolution. It’s all about saving what still can and stop the damage now.

I was successful with ASA using my MK3 inside the IKEA LACK enclosure. Although those were small parts, not subject to much wrapping.

In Germany, there is a wide selection of alcohol free beers. I personally enjoy more alcohol free beer, when I am at home, I crave for a refreshing drink during a week day, when I am by myself or at lunch, don’t want a sweet soda, alcohol free beer is just perfect! I still enjoy regular beer in the weekend when I am with friends.

It’s made of PLA, printed with 6 perimeters (2.4mm wall thickness) the front of the design is almost solid plastic (very little infill). It is probably to much and it would be fine with 3 or 4 perimeters. There is one test print I tried to break by using on as a lever against the other, I couldn’t even damage it.

Many of you are concern this stand could damage the laptop by bending it with the leverage force. It’s true that I didn’t consider this case when I designed it 🤔

While trying it out, I didn’t feel like it would damage the laptop, unless something catastrophic would happened like an heavy object or a pet dropping on it, but it is a legitimate concern ! I might reconsider using it… I was wondering why this type of stand is common for phones but inexistant for laptops, well now I understand !

• Votes for law proposal to increasing women’s access to positions of responsibility in the civil service RN is the only group voting against (For: 0, Against: 35, Abstain: 1)
• Votes for constitutional law on the freedom to have recourse to voluntary interruption of pregnancy votes against are essentially from RN (For: 46, Against: 12, Abstain: 14) and LR (For: 40, Against: 12, Abstain: 4)

It’s important to keep in mind that, without reading the details of the proposals, it’s hard to know the reasons for voting against. Often, a proposal with a title that seems to be progressiste is voted overwhelmingly against by the left groups, because the proposal is deemed flawed or insufficient, then many amendments are proposed and voted again, and again… It’s all very complicated to decipher. This small research also helped me to realize, what the news and media reporting about this in a more comprehensible way are often simplifying a lot and cherry-picking data to push a specific editorial line, and it is misleading more often than not.
