6 days agoOn Samsung I have “deep sleeping apps”, which basically kills any app put on that list when I turn off my phone.
It will also prevent notifications and such, but it is useful for anything I don’t care running in the background.

Ah, like so. I thought you were referring to the article on the Patreon website with your initial comment, rather than the article in the post itself.
You’re right, the article is wrong. “Gross revenue” makes no sense.
Which is contradictory to the first line of the linked essay.
Is it though?
Current sign-ups are likely through Patreons own payment system, which will stay as it is. It would be like signing up in the web version, then going on to use the iOS app. That wouldn’t suddenly subtract 30% from a payment Apple has no control over.

Edit: I really don’t understand what the sentiment here is. Any UI changes are somewhat arbitrary. I don’t get why that’s an issue.

I think the Halo show could’ve been much more interesting too if they focused on someone not the main character of the games.

Nordic Games bought what remained of THQ back in the day when the latter went bankrupt. (THQ used to be comparable to the likes of EA and Ubisoft before they made some poor decisions)
The holdings company behind THQ Nordic rebranded into Embracer some years ago.
Fortunately, the remake is being made by THQ Nordic.
How is that fortunate though?
THQ Nordic, the company which became Embracer, bought Piranha Bytes, shuttered the studio when they fucked up, and is now using their IP for a remake?
Piranha Bytes GmbH was a German video game developer based in Essen. It was best known for their Gothic and Risen series of role-playing video games.

I don’t think 100% renewable is the way to go, given that energy output can vary.
And as long as any amount of fossil fuels are left in the energy supply chain, I’d rather they be replaced with nuclear. Even if it’s more expensive.
I’m not making the decision so it doesn’t matter.
Perhaps not directly, but assuming you live in a democracy your vote does matter.
It may not reduce the delta, but we gotta cover the base load somehow. Nuclear is ideal for that job.
It does have back buttons, which is why it’s unlikely to launch in the west as Scuf (owned by Corsair) is a major patent troll when it comes to those. That’s also the reason for the original Steam controller no longer being released.
The Hori one is launching at the end of this month, if I recall correctly. I might look into importing it once it does.
