Modern PHP is better because it’s modern. Which early version of a programming language was good? I’ve used a lot of them, and by modern standards, I think dog shit is a somewhat appropriate description for most of them.
I like to go bottom up. If chocolate and coffee are off the menu, I’m not sure this life is worth continuing.
It’s still commonly used in STEM fields.
Redundant, privacy compliant storage is expensive. And then you have to deal with customer people that can’t figure things out, and then there’s the barrage of bots trying to break in. Optical media is dirt cheap and most people know what to do with it.
Some devs will include a whole library for one thing instead of trying to learn another way to do that thing.
I feel like the Adobe marketing is somewhat pointless. Anyone that has been in the target industries for any amount of time already know the deal.
GIMP is not Photoshop. They are not competitors. It’s a difficult transition. I’m not sure we should even bother drawing a comparison.
I’ve used Photoshop since 1992. I know, I’m old. I started using GIMP about four years ago. I recently got to the point where I can function.
Money and momentum is a motherfucker. Adobe has fuck you money. GIMP has volunteers. Those that don’t like their site should volunteer time or money.
Edit: fwiw I like the GIMP site better too.
Just looking at that workspace makes my neck hurt.
Try a little less.

Biggest to smallest is the only sane format. yyyy-mm-dd h:m:s
Half assed audiophile here. I only have two ears. I just want clean and balanced. Two channels is just fine.
They will do whatever they think they can get away with or afford in the interest of maximizing profits. Many believe that it is their primary responsibility to the shareholder.

I think it’s impossible if you want for things to work. JavaScript is so ubiquitous it’s been baked into the browser since 1995.
I think “not thoroughly tested” is code for anti-vax. Big overstep for a pharmacist. That’s between you and your physician, but here we are.
The big pharmacy chains are all bad, each in their own special way. I’m fortunate to have a few small independent pharmacies to choose from. The one I go to is no nonsense, and I’ve never waited more than five minutes, and they know my name. Support them while you can.
Not that it’s anyone’s business, but what in the world was the pharmacist’s argument?
And yet it seems that with the increased scrutiny of candidates, and somehow the expectation that code should be able to be written in a vacuum on notepad, shit just seems more progressively broken and unusable.
