Why was Israel attacking the Palestinians? Because the Palestinians were attacking the Israelis, starting with the creation of Israel by the British.

I think it’s the other way around. Israel put them in a gheto because they literally had no other way to protect their citizens. Now that the Palestinians have found a way around that, they’re back to killing the Israelis. And Israel is responding again.

Israel is the size of New Jersey. Gaza is something like 140 Sq miles.

For better or worse (probably worse though) the British gave Israel to the jews because they were also facing genocide. So it’s not quite as clear cut as you’d like it to be.

Support of Hamas is not the same as not condoning the attacks, it’s a false dichotomy. Of course it helps that they’re very anti-Israel, but it’s not necessarily a 1:1 thing. They also provide necessities in the Gaza Strip, so people tend to support them because they appreciate things like healthcare and food.
