I just did this with an RX7900TX and everything worked fine and I decided to install my normal updates. And then my PC wouldn’t boot. After hours of “fun”, it turns out that the issue had nothing to do with the GPU swap and all. Tons of fun!

I haven’t in at least a year or two.
Ok, I see where you’re going now, but I’m still not sure I agree with you here overall for the genre.
I think the “add tactics” thing is already done to a degree in these games as early enemies in these games tend to be dead simple since players like likely still acclimating to the game, but I suspect that there is only so much you can do before you end up turning later enemies into some sort of frustrating puzzle. Diablo-likes, for better or worse, aren’t generally mind bending affairs, high skill ceiling affairs.
There is definitely room in the genre for more tactical, skill dependent entries, but I not sure the end result would be as fun for most people as that would be a fundamentally different type game. Hey, maybe I am wrong and this would lead to some sort of souls-like Diablo game where skill and learning are all that matters and items and character building are far less important. Come to think of it, that sounds a lot like Hades in a way.
Your desire to dumb down diablo-likes is your own and I hate it. PoE and Grim Dawn are about the only games like this that I have truly enjoyed in a long time. Blizzard ruined Diablo and WoW with this bullshit take.
Minor correction: You can’t say no because they intentionally almost never give you “no” as an option. It generally is “Ask again later” instead, when you clearly never want them to ask again, just like you didn’t want to be asked the first time.
Can’t do it, it is too sane and user friendly. Best they can do is further reduce flexibility and add more AI.
I am almost certain that steam keys are actually free to developers, which is the whole reason for the policy.
From what I understand, the newest version of Element X paired with Matrix 2.0 will now support voice/video without using jitsi.
Very low bandwidth or resource usage would be some advantages, less so since they made in this java heh.
I had a couple Windows Mobile/Pocket PCs. They were flawed, yet awesome in their own way. Early Android was clearly better, but sadly it’s become a locked down spy fest. I’d love a new real “Pocket PC”.
Check out Quod Libet, it is my current favorite.
Even in the unlikely event that Elon did get a colony going on Mars, he’d be like Cohaagen from Total Recall, but worse.
I am aware, but Google is the one making this available and it 100% benefits them for developers to use it.
Android Auto is in the only reason I’m not using a de-googled rom. It makes me wonder if Android Auto works fine with no internet connection/SIM. Maybe I could just keep a disconnected “beater” phone for my music and predownload maps with Organic Maps.
I think calling it an anti-piracy measure is being too generous to Google. This is their slimy way to try to get around the measures the EU is enforcing and just to keep their control in general. Every update Google makes to Android brings it further from what I liked about it when it was new.
Turbo Pascal was great and a big step up over what you could do with BASIC. Good luck with C++.
Man I love that old Atari art.
Isn’t that first artwork from the Atari BASIC book cover? I suffered enough with BASIC on my TI-99 and IBM XT, I can’t imagine how rough the Atari version was.
That’s actually very much my kind of font, thanks a lot. At first glace I still prefer my current font (Liberation Mono), but I’ll give it a test run and see how it feels after a couple of weeks. You can never tell right away if a font is a keeper.
I just replaced my 3070 with a RX 7900XT and it was a very noticeable difference in performance. It doesn’t help that my primary display is 3840x1600 though. The 3070 was never particularly great for that res.
