How do you do that? Roll back to a specific patch
If you don’t have filesystem snapshots, I think the simplest way would be to re-install the game and only apply the first few updates. This is easy with GOG. I guess it might be possible with Steam depots, though I haven’t tried it.

This is the guide I’ve seen on it, looking into it it seems I am outta luck because you can’t maintain saves from a later version. It might help you if you have been avoiding playing as a result tho. Or if future patches break things.
