I can turn a blind eye to that because I’m looking for a president who throws furniture through bus windows instead of asking for a fight when his career was fighting. That is the kind of decision making I find important in a president.
Ireland may want to avoid this like the plague. I mean all they have to do is look at America to see what it looks like having a sexual predator in charge.

Trump was/is widely despised in the US. Even by many in his own party. All it takes is voter apathy, a cult following, and a political machine getting behind him.

Only a nominated candidate can run for President, and nominations are given by a minimum of 20 sitting members of parliament (both chambers) or at least 4 city or county councils. Backing McGregor’s candidature would be a political suicide, so he won’t even get to run.
Hope that’s true. We don’t need more of his type in politics. We’re already drowning in the ones we’ve got.
