My wife and I have identical Galaxy S22 Ultras but hers recently got thrown across the room and now her camera hardware is malfunctioning. I don’t use my camera nearly as much as she does so I would be willing to swap Sims but transferring all our data, contacts, and photos seems like a nightmare. Is there a non nightmare way to do the transfer?

Samsungs have an app called smartswitch where you can easily transfer data from one to another (assuming you get another galaxy). Most stores will let you transfer your data to your new phone in-store and wipe it before submitting it.

Create a backup, wipe, then import backup. Could use your Google account, it also looks like the Samsung smart switch app supports backing up to computer.

This might work. It would be simple if we didn’t want to keep both phones data intact without merging it all.

Doing it this way should achieve this. As long as you wipe the phone properly before restoring the backup to it they should still stay completely independent of each other.

You should be able to just back up your phone with your google account and restore it. Maybe add some app folders to your google photos sync first.

If you’re storing everything locally than move it to a micro SD
