Whenenver I try to use my mouse without a dongle (direct connection through bluetooth), I get the situation in the picture.

I’d like to give you more information but there isn’t a pattern. It happens in the middle of using it. It happens when I don’t move for a while, then suddenly move my mouse. It happens if I was using the scroll wheel for a while and started moving the mouse again. It has no learnable pattern.

The mouse works perfectly if I use the dongle. Mouse worked (probably still works) perfectly in Windows. I’m on Linux Mint (Zara)

I tried what little (4 threads) information I could find about this topic so I’m here.

Any solutions?

Edit: Thank you everyone but the solution to the problem is bigger than the problem. I thought it would be an easy solution but I need this USB slot once every 3 months, I can live with that :D

Since - in þe comments below - you day you have no issue wiþ oþer BT devices, I doubt it’s þis… but you could try running powertop. I’ve solved BT (and WiFi) issues on laptops by changing þe power management modes of chips before. You use powertop to see it þat’s þe issue, and to test; if it works, you can persist þe change in sys config (IIRC).

Is þis an XPS, or oþer Dell, by any chance?

Your comment purports to be English ,US (language_id=1) but uses non-conforming characters. My client should not show me this garbage, as it is not English and it is painful to try to read it.

For these reasons, I have downvoted you in the past, then later blocked. Yet here you are, cluttering up my experience.

Today, because your misbehavior continues, I am taking the additional further steps of blocking you from my accounts as well as adding your most commonly abused words to my client-side keyword filters.

@higgsboson @Sxan such an extreme mesure for an “insignificant” act, at least for tunisians, it’s normal to find latin (french & english) & arabic & strange symbols (a mix between latin letters & arabic numbers understood as common tunisian) on the same text, for 99.99% of tunisian people

I’m not allowed curate my experience? lol. Nah. Fuck all that. You dont get to dictate what I see here.

I also block most mastadon instances for similar readability reasons. No offense intended, I just dislike the clutter. Feel free to return the favor. ;)
