I do not plan to purchase it from a carrier. Yes, I’m in the US. Is this even possible?

Thanks, that’s good to know. I’m a bit disheartened that support for OnePlus devices has dwindled a fair bit, but if it can be rooted I can still debloat it/add apps and features to it, so that’s OK!

If you ever become independant from the Play Store and other Google services, OnePlus devices seem pretty good with DivestOS

Even the OnePlus 11? I’m looking for a De-Googled experience, but with some features of Graphene (multiple accounts, ability to run some Google apps - I’d like to use Google Maps)

It can, but it can’t uninstall system apps like the Play store or Google services. Just disable them at best.

With that said, once I root my device, I can install Magisk, actually debloat it and maybe install some other apps. I’m looking forward to purchasing a cheap device and experimenting!

Oh, you can absolutely uninstall them. The files needed for installation will stay, but that’s the case with any app you remove like that.

Which is rather helpful, because it makes it easier to reinstall something in case you de-bloated a little too hard.
