    I’m not going to go with your off-the-cuff rejection of the dictionary.

    Latin, a language used for thousands of years is far from off-the-cuff.

              Agreed, I wont use Latin, I don’t know it. As a bonus, I wont use greek either.

              I’ll stick to English as defined by a dictionary

                You probably know more latin than you realize. Ad lib, Alias, Alibi ,Alma mater ,Alter ego, Ante meridiam/Post meridiam, Bona fide ,Carpe diem, Caveat, Consensus, Ergo, Et cetera, In memoriam, Magnum opus, Per capita, Per se, Pro bono, Status quo, Veni vidi vici, Verbatim, and Vice versa are latin words that are still commonly used across all languages.
