Is there a single piece version of this? I hate printing a million parts and putting it all together when I can just print it all in one go a bit smaller
It’s like print your own Legos, I would love that part
Yeah my favorite things to print are things that require intricate assembly - after the wave of novelty it gets boring to just hit print and pull finished products off the printer
I’ve always awaited a printer but don’t have creativity or any good reason to get one. Build your own Legos would have my mashing that buy button so hard
You can print Legos - but it’s not really a good reason to buy one. They’re very slow to print due to the precision required and the materials that work best for them are all hard to print
That being said, there are tons of printable projects that scratch the same itch! Printable had a contest just last month for card kit models!
I’ve even made a tutorial on how to make your own Lego.
You can use modeling software (or even some slicers) to pre-position or stitch the parts in place.
