Heard I can use acetone for PLA, but not for PETG. Glued a joint and there is residue extruded and unfortunately it’s a very shiny / translucent PETG. Any suggestions for cleaning up thin white residue stain from the cyanoacrylate?

CA Bloom is a pain to deal with. Loctite have a few recommendations on their website. https://www.loctiteproducts.com/en/know-how/fix-stuff/remove-super-glue.html#:~:text=For plastic%3A Lay a damp, substance break down the glue.
For future reference you can get low bloom CA glues for plastics that work much better.
Thanks, will give that a shot.
For future projects I’d personally recommend crystal clear epoxy. It takes a lot of time to set (40+ minutes) and even more to cure (24-48 hours), but the result is awesome.
