Therefore it’s in their interest to nerf the browser as much as they can get away with it, and why they force third party browsers to use the Safari rendering engine under the hood.
As a webdev, Safari has taken the place of IE now.

Not for long, at least in the EU.
This is also why PWAs don’t work well on iOS. I think they still don’t even support notifications.
