I’m always sceptical of any claims on that site. It continues to label the ABC as centre-left, despite the fact that independent analysis has found it does an incredibly good job of maintaining its statutory non-partisanship, or possibly even leans slightly to the right.
Doesn’t it get its bias ratings from user votes? Terribly subject to gaming.
Left and right are relative and vary over time and space. They base it on US politics. Many Democrats would be conservatives here in Canada. They have a poll on the site but it doesn’t have anything to do with their assessment.
Left-right bias is the least important thing they’re assessing though. Looking at ABC, I care that they have press freedom, editorial independence, have never failed a fact check, and are used as a fact-checker. I’d use their credibility rating if choosing one metric.

Probably american-based like the other commenter says. The American left is the global center-right iirc.
