Russian president ‘willing to gamble on food security’ by stepping up strikes on grain ships, says UK prime minister

Keir Starmer has accused Vladimir Putin of disrupting food supplies to Gaza after British intelligence suggested Russia had stepped up its attacks on Ukrainian ports.

Starmer said it was clear the Russian president was “willing to gamble on global food security” after several grain ships en route to developing countries were damaged by Russian strikes.

Military intelligence published by the UK government overnight concluded that Russia had increased its attacks on Ukrainian port infrastructure in the Black Sea.

They’re held for inspections since UNRWA and Iran regularly send weapons to Hamas via ‘aid’ trucks.

It’s why the US needs to keep up the pressure on Israel regarding weapons shipments for aid entering Gaza. It won’t ever speed up the processing of those held up trucks, since they still need to be inspected, but it forces Israel to send their own trucks, with aid they know is good, instead of leaving it to third parties who inevitably adulterate the aid. (That benefits Netanyahu)

There’s no evidence of UNRWA ever doing anything like that. And those aid trucks are provided largely by the same countries that provide Israel with weapons. Unless you’re going to claim USAID is also sending weapons to Hamas?

but it forces Israel to send their own trucks, with aid they know is good,

If they did that there wouldn’t be an Israeli-caused famine in Gaza right now.
