How are post facto agreement changes working retroactively legal?
It does have an impact. Apple has all the interest in keeping devices working for as long as possible because they make money from the app store. Microsoft makes money from selling the device and its surfaces but it’s google that benefits from the play store.

The world is always cyclical. There is always a return to conflict and friction. And given that the globalized world has shifted and mixed so many, I think we’re definitely brewing some nice widespread instability which will, in time, give way to a new form of stability. Whether it’ll better than what we have now is the main question. Seems unlikely, but it always does.
The more incentives these companies create with their annoyances to the users the easier it is for alternatives to pop up.
One would think they would be against any type of imperialism and the taking of countries, but apparently it doesn’t upset them to see happen to others.
