I have an old Dell XPS 13 sleep works great on for Linux probably can sleep a week or two and still have charge left when I open the lid. I have a newer framework and it’s dead in 2 days while “sleeping.”

Reading this I should live like a medieval peasant and only eat potatoes, onions, and root vegetables and drink nothing but beer. I’m kinda down with that.

I like valve and my steam deck but I don’t get why they don’t get more shit for CSGO skin gambling.

What I like, screen is almost as good as the oleds, games with patches play and look better (BoTW and ToTK, been playing echoes of wisdom) Mario kart is a blast. Can boost headphone volume to much louder levels after disabling the limiter.

What I don’t like. no USB c video out on xr glasses or portable monitors. virtual game cards are regressive. game key cards should register for a month or at least a few weeks. having to put one in every time for a downloaded game is dumb. battery life is ass.

hopefully more switch one games get patched to take advantage of the hw. looking forward to Metroid

I took down all the lan ports in our cube area connecting a raspberry pi to the network. I left network as static as I set it up and installed it into equipment where it won’t touch the network but the machine can talk to it, but then realized I needed some extra software. So I brought it out to my desk where I had set it up while it was set to dynamic and it caused the whole switch it was connected to to shut down. No one really seemed bothered when I went to get it fixed. Concerningly not bothered in fact.

Same. I still have Solus on my old laptop but I mostly only use that when I travel. Its the same install I’ve been using since 2018 with no issues. I did not install on my new laptop because hardware wasn’t supported on available install image and it seemed like Solus was on its last legs and not worth jumping through hoops for.

Aptitude has a GUI? I’ve been using it purely CLI for years.
