Well, Superman wasn’t born in the U.S.A to parents in the U.S.A…
He travelled as an unaccompanied minor to the USA. I hate to say it but it seems pretty obvious to me he’s not from 'round here with the whole flying and laser eyes thing too.
Thou shalt not create a machine to counterfeit a human mind.

The meme is “science guy doing science”
The joke is that the DC in “Washington DC” also stands for “Direct Current.” Direct Current is usually stable in a circuit.
What our Punny scientist did is make Washington “Alternating Current.” By creating an oscillating image of the Washington DC buildings.
It’s a very funny shitpost for electronic nerds.
FWIW, probably not a lot of devs willing to tarnish their reputation (well at least tarnish it THAT much) they pay (unlikely very well), and they probably figure people are going to do it anyway (on their own hardware, or on a competitor) so they might as well make money off of it while they can.
And they definitely use it themselves.
No kidding. That’s gotta be at least $2200/mo rent
I’m impressed I can still hear it lol
I do in fact want to “avoid it” for legal purposes.
Idk something tells me China would happily buy Russian oil sanction or not. Especially if their main source is disrupted.
Oh, no, not at all. It’s purely about its location and importance than worry me.
The PTSD folk? They were in the expelling force in '91. The others were in Iraq (mainly after 2003), and came through Kuwait.
Kuwait was chill after the Iraq regime fell.
Kuwait is right over the Persian Gulf by Iran. It won’t be chill for very long.
Ugh. This kind of hits hard.
I know people who are active in the military (yes they are stupid and yes it doesn’t take much analysis to figure out they’re probably magats). In particular I know several who have been to Kuwait and seem to regularly get stationed there.
I’ve known several people who died by suicide from PTSD from Kuwait, or Iraq.
There’s a girl, she’s a sergeant. She’s in until 2028, been to Kuwait already. I don’t know if she’s even 23. She certainly doesn’t come off as a magat. But it doesn’t really matter. 23 is an adult yes. But to me? I’m 34? She’s just starting life out. To get killed in this kind of war is gross.
I have a feeling AI won’t take my role, AI will force me to take ownership of more products. I worry greatly about that.
So something I don’t understand is the logic behind my job. I’m a software engineer, that effort makes sense to me to develop and solution and configure.
But I’ve been given a product owner role. And then I have a product manager I work with who isn’t technical.
I really don’t feel like I do much other than stress out
Isn’t it fascinating.
Like the other day I learned just how easy it would be to make an AI “character” and sell “nudes” to men on only fans.
Like if all the people scalping the Switch 2 had any clue how much they could make doing that, I’d be able to buy a Switch 2. Then I could do it too to make money to buy the Switch 2 games.
But unlike scalpers, my empathy prevents me from telling people there’s sex in the VIP room.
Iran is the principal source of regional instability and terror.
Ok does someone want to catch me up on this opinion shared by world leaders but quite literally no one else?
Like yes, Iran is a terrible authoritarian state that is very dangerous. But so is Saudi Arabia?!
So like modern tanks have nuclear, radiological, biological and chemical protections. Does that mean that they are rated to survive a nuclear detonation at a certain radius?
I didn’t call it, but there’s nothing quite like a war to distract the population from rampant decline at home.
This one is weird though, Iran is allied with Russia. Israel is allied with the US. Historically, this made sense.
But Trump and Putin playing war together would benefit both of them. It allows Putin to pull out of Ukraine because “Iran provided us much help and they need us now.” And it allows Russia to maintain the war economy. It benefits Trump because he wants to play war.
Neither leader would have any actual skin in the game, it’s just people’s lives that would never contribute in another meaningful way to their power.
I don’t like this. This is feeling more 1984 than 1984.
Edit: I like this even worse after I read the specifics of the KC-135R and KC-46A. Each can carry about 200,000 lbs of additional fuel. A single F-15E can hold 13,000 lbs internally. 30 KC-135Rs can refuel an entire F-15E 460 times. Israel has 7 KC-130H (60,000lbs) and 7 Boeing 707s (which is what the KC-135 was based on). This isn’t just escalation, this is staging for invasion.
My ex wife’s cat is one that loves to weave between the legs, especially when you are moving fast. We call him “neckbreaker” this is why.
From all available intelligence, no. They clearly have a nuclear weapons program (which are insanely huge to begin with) but there has never been a measured test, and no evidence of enriched uranium at a high enough purity to be weaponized.
It’s insanely hard work to created weaponized enriched uranium. With the sanctions Iran has had for decades it would be next to impossible for them to get all the stuff they need to create it on their own.
Hmm.
That’s sounds like a lot of extra work to get it in one file.
