    We were thinking of moving using the skilled visa, which seems hard because we need a job offer prior to visa application. So if you have money you can just come?

    Any Kiwis here can tell me if it’s a good country to immigrate to? I will have PhD soon, and want to contribute to open access research if possible.

    So far the country looks great because we like slow life, but idk if that’s just for citizens or also for immigrants.

    Fucking assholes who are makin the country worse fleeing. Good news is they will then shit up that other countries. bad news is once they crap it up enough will come back here and it continues constantly searching for the nicest spot in the turd pile to defecate on.

    I’ve always thought New Zealand was a better version of my own country (Canada)…I no longer think this.

    It should be noted people in New Zealand are not fond of their current government, not their republican style bullshit. But like many countries the same people who voted then in will do so again at some point.

        The Hong-Kongers deserve a little sympathy, but the ‘rich’ part really does take the shine off.
