        He wanted a Nobel Peace Prize after he saw that Obama got one. He wanted his silly little parade after he saw Macron get one. Maybe it’s time to show him what some other rulers got.

      In all fairness his talks with China were incredibly influential. China stills expresses appeciation for Kissenger to this day (unfortunately imo). It feels really wrong knowing the rest of his life but I can see why this would happen

    As a Pakistani. Pls ignore everything we say. We’re fucking idiots and massive sycophants. Partly bc we are fucked by IMF. And y’all are politically smart enough to understand the IMF and the world bank are a way for the us and allies to dominate the rest of the world

    ‘Chaaploosi’ is the Urdu word, sycophancy is the English translation. Sycophancy honestly doesn’t get across just how specifically chaaploosi explains it. The perfect word for it if someone speaks the language here.

      If it makes you feel any better, as an American I don’t judge people based on decisions made by their country. We’re all stuck on this planet together and I’d like everyone to have some good times if possible.

      Is that word related to not answeting negative to anything? Some of the IT consultants i have worked with from south asia would never say no to anything, even if they had no idea what I meant and I asked them if they understood. This made working with those consultants nearly impossible.

          I looked into a bit (wow, Urdu is a really pretty-looking language) and google translate described as “the act of praising to convey meaning”

          Is it like excessively praising the leaders not necessarily to impress the leaders themselves but to impress other sycophants? Like “I am more patriotic than you”?

            No no. Thats not quite it. Its about being a kiss ass, a bootlicker or brown nosing. It does have a negative connotation. Also implies the person who’s ass you kiss is a ‘superior’, a person with authority.

            And yeah Urdu is a beautiful language, it was created to be so. Even visually calligraphy is one of the most important art forms here historically.
