I have a flashforge 5m pro that i technologically got for free thru school when i used to go. honestly not a fan of this machine i got and both my nozzles broke or did something funky and replacements aint cheap. I cant return it because it was done thru school. I live with parents and they suggest getting a nozzle but i want to prove them wrong if possible? Im wondering can i get a working 3d printer for cheaper than a new nozzle or build one?

Than 35? No, you’re not going to build a new printer from scratch for less than $35, especially if you don’t have another printer to print parts.

Buy a hotend, figure out what you did wrong previously, and fix your machine.

Yeah if you’ve bent/broken multiple nozzles, its definitely a user issue and even if you could build a new printer for $35, you’re going to experience the issue again if you haven’t bothered to learn why it happened.

1 - Build a cheap replacement hotend with a v6 and maybe the help of another printer owner

2 - break nozzles constantly ( they should hold quite a long time if you dont print abrasives)

3 - now each nozzle change costs under 1€

    4 - profit?!?
