you should also always assume a sufficiently willing person can find your identity, don’t post anything sensitive online, don’t post anything that would encourage those with resources to find your identity, and if you’re e.g. a politician then only post online to explicitly non-anonymous accounts. yeah there’s a mod who has a bit of a vendetta against me, so i went out of my way to find their home address and then paid five bucks to a stalker website to find their favorite pizza place and toppings just in case they piss me off. that delivery will be worth the $34.27 USD.
Except the ability to register an account without any personal details. Which makes it completely private if you want.
