The shocking footage was reportedly filmed near Avdiivka and was posted to social media by several Ukrainian bloggers.

Video has emerged appearing to show Russian troops gunning down two Ukrainian soldiers as they surrender.

The footage – reportedly filmed near Avdiivka – shows one man emerging from a dugout with his hands above his head before lying face down on the ground.

A few feet from the entrance, several Russian soldiers crouch down pointing their guns.

A few moments later a second Ukrainian soldier emerges. As he struggles out, the Russian soldiers open fire.

I know there are a lot of innocent conscripted Russians who don’t want to be there any more than I want them to be there.

Stuff like this makes it really easy to feel that’s not true, like Russia is monolithic and evil.

They’ve committed and continue to commit so many atrocities. Something is deeply wrong there beyond just the megalomaniacal despot at the top.

Read any objective book of russian history and you’ll see it yourself. There was a reason Ukrainians called USSR the prison of nations.

Why hesitate? They went through the trouble to sow the seeds, tending to them carefully to ensure strong growth, and now that they’re finally bearing the fruits of their labour they don’t like the way it tastes? They want to take it back? Tough titties. Russia has sown a lifetime of hate, and that’s exactly what they’ll reap.

Russian government is not the Russian people. For the last 30 years or so, the only bad coming out of Russia was trade wars and proxy wars, all exclusively perpetuated by the elite. The general masses were innocent.

The problem now is that the general public is complicit with this war war. Those that haven’t fled or rioted.

And their soldiers are committing unspeakable horrors beyond the bare “necessities” of war. Torture, rape, genocide. It’s sadistic what they have done.

I felt compassion for the first wave of unwitting soldiers who suddenly found themselves in a war, many from poor rural territories where joining the military was the only feasible way to provide for their family.

        Now? Not so much.

This is a really dumb take. Yes, there’s plenty of psychopaths in Russia, and I’m cheering for Ukraine to kick them out. Still we know there’s plenty of people who don’t want to be fighting.

i am simply watching, whereas you are not apparently… people inside Russia seem to have an amazing capacity for ignoring what’s happening…

                lol ok

You’re still engaging in prejudice and stereotype.

Not sure where you got something out of that to judge me, but I guess I’m not surprised.

you want to cry persecution, it’s so precious

hundreds of thousands of dead Russians isn’t bothering you apparently, but a few harsh words on the internet, that’s too much to bear i guess… it only makes sense, have to hold onto something…
