  • I always liked the line in Dogma about them, don’t turn ideas into beliefs, you can change ideas easier than beliefs. Paraphrased and I understand how much it waters down the whole problem but I still thought the idea of it was nice. Listen and be open, you shouldn’t always need to be rigid. Though mean there are still ideals I’m rigid about, respect, compassion and such. Though I always thought the idea was you thought about what worked best for everyone not just what people said you should do cause tradition.

  • I’m an adult, always enjoyed milk but not much beyond a bowl of cereal or a glass (possibly chocolate) in a day. Don’t have it overly often most of the time but even if I do it’s not a lot. Still feels satisfying to have in my 40s. Of course I may be considered weird for other reasons by many but didn’t think the milk consumption factored in heh.

Edit thought I’d add, has at least protein in it so there are worse things to have with more sugars, though yes know lactase breaks down to carbs (or something similar I may have forgotten the name)

  • Yes I always think of that Simpsons line, this is the worse day so far. It doesn’t help any anxiety about the geopolitical situation even backdropped by an amusing sitcom. I do hope people learn better, but maybe we’ll see the way of nuking ourselves and wonder what happened while still being intolerant (as a whole, I know many individuals are cool but those are never in position of power it seems).

I limit my political stories these days after Trump’s first term I can’t handle the same input, not American but that doesn’t matter to the world’s outcome.

  • If you could only play it when you rented the game, it was more difficult to memorize. Unfortunately none of my friends owned it, I rented it semi often but can probably only passed the level under 10times. Even thinking back I can remember the exhilaration of passing it. Course I kinda suck at games and after dying at the level would find something else to do rather than keep playing. This is someone who loved the turtles back then too, only reason I’d keep renting it.

  • I’m in my mid 40s huge geek, programmer, gamer…I never had a huge calling to join those platforms. I was always a more forum type. Admittedly I checked out the sites from links of Reddit and such, but never had an urge to join them for anything, probably due wanting to read more conversational type input from others. Maybe I missed out but seems like being an old foggie sort of won out in the end with what I’m reading these days.

I’m sure there was decent conversations on some of the platforms as well, so not saying they were always bad just wasn’t something that I had an urge to put time into, mostly so I could game more heh.

  • Dunno what OS’s it supports besides Windows but I use Kdiff for random comparisons regularly, I think it works pretty well untill you get to much larger files (20+ MB slows down a lot). The huge file wasn’t code but needed to check output changes for those curious.

I constantly check git comparison with previous versions to see what changed to break things in a build though. Didn’t know there was a way to diff any files in git, should probably just learn to use that one.

  • According to the article, quoted.

Access zones are in place at K-12 schools, and police can arrest or issue tickets to anyone found impeding access, disrupting or interfering with educational activities, or attempting to intimidate an individual within 20 metres (66 feet) of school property,” the province said in a release. Unquoted now…

What part of that is bad? Nothing says people can’t protest but no one should interfere with kid’s education. Doesn’t say people can’t protest, but they can’t disrupt people who go in there is all which seems fair.

Edit: forgot to say I can be a bit dense and not realize things so if I’m missing a glaring fact or angle of this please do inform me.

  • How do you find which one you want with 150 open? Genuinely curious is all, I’m old and mostly use PC and can type quick enough to find what I want if I know which site (wikis for games and such). If I had to scroll through 150 tabs I’d spend half the time looking through a list so wonder how it helps to have that many open. Or maybe I just don’t read fast enough to scroll well.
