Ok, couple things. I haven’t read the article yet, but here we go.

    1. This headline brought to you by democrats.org. Isn’t that a bit like trusting McDonalds to tell you how great McDonalds is? They’re not exactly an unbiased source.

    2. Even IF the headline were true, it’s fucking May 2025. If people are just NOW realizing they don’t want trump and fascism, it’s a little late assholes! Where were you in November 2024? Because now trump is already locked in for the next 4 years. He already controls all aspects of national government.

It’s kind of like lighting a big fire, and THEN deciding it was a bad idea AFTER it burns your house down.

It’s the democratic agenda. Chuck Schumer and Hakim Jeffries already gave up the ghost. Do nothing, and when the Republicans prove that they can’t govern, collect votes like acorns falling off trees in fall.

That way you only have to do performative shit, like 24 hour speeches for no actual gain, or printing a big banner.

The ratcheting doesn’t matter, the terrible primary system doesn’t matter, don’t look at David Hogg, we’ll sweep him under the rug to ensure no real developing of ideas or actual principles. Just cowardice.

it’s a damned, dirty lie. people aren’t siding with the “Democrats”. the “Democrats” are idiots who don’t who what the fuck they’re doing. some people are starting to see why everyone thinks they’re evil assholes. it’s a good thing, but it’s in no way a benefit for Democrats. shit won’t change until AOC is speaker. change my mind.

This is uplifting? “People are turning away from absolute horror to embrace less than the bare minimum” I’m sorry, but the DNC is total shit, it’s not fascism, but that shouldn’t be the bar we’re measuring by.

Democrats need to get more radical. The current system isn’t working for most people, and it’s certainly not working for the environment. Nationalized health care. Public housing. Basic income.

Conservatives will lose their mind, but some of them are assholes that want fascism, so fuck them. And a funny thing about some conservatives is they’ll defend whatever the current state is. They just don’t like change. Once you get something like nationalized health care in, some of the people who are screaming about how it’s the worst idea will scream at anyone trying to change it.

Many people have said they voted for trump because he’s “a change” or "something different’. Yes, it’s a little stupid to be like “i’m tired of eating gruel, i’m going to change it up by eating rusty nails”, but that’s people. Offer a change and get them.

But I think there’s too much rich people influence in our politics and media for that to easily get off the ground.

“There’s a difference between “siding with” and refusing to endorse something.

This is like them saying “in not cutting their hands off, voters continue to side with Democrats.”

It’s highly possible that most of those voters also don’t want to funnel their money to the 1% via Democrat policy. Many probably detest having to make a binary choice between what’s in their worst interest and what’s just more of what got us where we are.

Best they can do is tell you “I told you so.” and tour around the country while fascists take over.

Democrats can get stuffed, until they start acting like they remotely care about saving America. Both of those parties are dead. A free America’s future lies elsewhere.

Sad thing is, the dem party smells their own farts so hard, and believe that “our time is coming, just as soon as enough suffer.” They’re just sitting and waiting to be loved instead of taking any kind of action.
