Susie Willies is the Chief of Staff of the President.

She controls his agenda. She sometimes takes decisions on his behalf.

She is one of the very few people that Donald Trump actually trusts.

In 2010, she helped healthcare businessman Rick Scott become Governor of Florida.

She went to create a corporate lobbying firm named Ballard Partners. She recruited Pam Bondi as a lobbyist for Ballard Partners.

In 2018, she helped Ron De Santis become Governor Governor of Florida.

In 2024, Susie Willies was the top campaign manager of Donald Trump.

Friendly reminder the guy who organised lenins calendar was bloody stalin. That’s a level of discretionary control over a highly powerful individual that could basically let you choose the next president.

Looking at this crowd of people it’s hilarious to see people actually wearing that ridiculous hat. Do people actually do this in the US? 😂

The hats are just the tip of the iceberg. Political apparel isn’t anything new, but it’s usually just reserved for election years. For a lot in MAGA, it’s everyday. And it’s not just clothing.

Driving through rural areas or small towns, the amount of Trump flags flying in front of homes today, well after the election, is staggering. Flags are what get me because I can’t think of any other candidate who had their name on a flag that people actually flew alongside of or in place of the American flag. I do not remember ever seeing Bush flags, or Obama flags, or Biden flags. This is different. This idolatry is not normal.

Yes. Not even at rallies. People wear trump hats really in public. It’s embarrassing

I really hate to make a remark about appearance, but she’s got mad crazy person eyes. Most of the worst people I’ve ever met have that same look in their eyes.

There’s always a look to it. As long as you keep in mind that it can be wrong and adjust your view of people accordingly if corrected, it’s not super wrong to judge by appearances

That said, I’ve seen a time or two where this bitch right here has done some wrongs, likely associated with one or more of those eyes.

Is appearance really the first thing it occurs to you to comment on?

EDIT: “Yes, body-shaming is indeed my chief concern, hence my comments based on candid photos” was the response. Cringe.

TBF you film anyone long enough you’re going to capture some strange expressions.

Disclaimer: this is in no way a defense of her. Just a general statement.

I was a young adult under Clinton so this packed punch for me. Travolta nailed the role, and so did everyone else.

Won’t spoil it but I’d love to chat after you see it!

Am I the only one that thinks 90% of the people in the clowns orbit should be put in homes for the elderly and insane?

I haven’t seen the show, but the premise of “The Thick of It” is that the real powerful figures are staffers, not the politicians themselves.

Part of the reason we have a fascist infestation right now is you people’s only response to the threat of our democracy collapsing is to fucking make harry potter memes

Humor is how people cope with the bullshit happening all around us. If anything, humor is what keeps people going. No part of that joke minimizes the threat to democracy in my mind. Quite the contrary, it makes the threat manageable without succumbing to misery and giving up. We can do two things at once.

We’re having nationwide protests today called Rage Against the Regime, if that helps any. Some tiny amount anyways. They’re not talked about like the No Kings protests were tho. I’m assuming we’ll start protests every weekend at some point

I’ve read plenty of books, and I’m not really a huge Potter fan but it happens that my kids were re watching the old movies.

Still, Umbridge stands in my mind as one a great example of somebody who assists evil by hamstringing good and chipping away at hope, all while stating “this is for your own good” mentality.

It’s one of the few TV characters that actually made me angry because she’s so believable
