People have been speculating about Putin’s weird posture and movements for years. Whether or not it’s due to health problems, he does genuinely just move weird. No need to hypothesize deepfakes.

Actually there is also the fact that in his latest speech the chair also did weird things. Like moving back and forth. Either the speech was spliced together or deepfaked. Either way there is something weird going on.

Interesting as Trump has said he will continue arms deliveries in that case. No way even Trump could expect Ukraine to give up even more land than is currently occupied at the negotiating table. It would be a “terrible deal”.

On Trumpisms, this translates to “give me something I want and then I’ll change my mind”. If Putin asks, Ukraine’s getting the umbilical chopped day one.

Typically, if the Kremlin says something, you consider the opposite true.

    • Armour: severe shortage, soldiers often attacking in unprotected vehicles.
    • Personnel: being outsourced from North Korea.
    • Air defense: cannot hold back a drone swarm or decent missile.
    • Rapid reserves: enough to keep Bashar al-Assad ruling Syria. Oops.
    • Losses: 600 000 dumbest ones dead or wounded, 2 million smartest ones in emigration, paying taxes to some other land.
    • Economy: interest rates over 20%, insolvencies widespread, butter sold from locked fridges.

…I can totally see them continue for a while, but not a long while. And the breaking point isn’t linked at all to Putin’s goals.
